acorn flour is pretty bland , I love pine nut flour- but it does have all the same uses. _________________ God made man, Sam Colt made them equal |

I have actually made that before. I didnt make pancakes with it though. I made a flat bread. Didn't turn out too bad. Thanks for posting that. It is always good to read what someone else says about it. _________________ Always a Student, Never a Master. |

I've heard the best tasting mix is 1/3 wheat flour, 1/3 acorn flour, and 1/3 cattail flour. Have yet to try it. I've eaten amaranth flour and mesquite flour breads. Mesquite is a bit sickly sweet if you eat too much IMO. I made ashcakes with the amaranth and it was a bit bland but not too bad.
